Videos of Pakistani students are viral on social media, in which they are pleading for help from PM Shahbaz Sharif. They are cursing Maryam Nawaz for not getting help. One student even cried while talking to a Pakistani news channel, pleading to be taken back to the country. It has not been confirmed yet whether students from other countries were also living in this hostel and whether they also came under the purview of this attack. Let us tell you that Kyrgyzstan, which shares borders with China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, is a favorite place for medical studies among Pakistani students. Pakistani students advised to stay inside the hostel

Amid the violence in Bishkek hostel, the Pakistani Embassy has advised the students to stay inside their homes. Amid the violence outside the hostels in Bishkek, the Pakistani Embassy in Kyrgyzstan on Saturday strictly advised Pakistani students not to go out. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bishkek Hassan Zaigham said in a social media post that the embassy is in touch with local law enforcement officials to ensure the safety of Pakistani students. Along with this, he also issued helpline numbers +996555554476 and +996507567667. Students have been asked to call these numbers in case of emergency.

In view of the violent mob outside the hostels in Bishkek, the embassy has strictly instructed all Pakistani students not to go out until the situation normalizes. The Pakistani ambassador said, we are in touch with local law enforcement officials to ensure the safety of our student community. Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch also reposted the ambassador’s message on X and said that the embassy is in touch with the Kyrgyz authorities to facilitate Pakistani students, as their safety is of paramount importance to the ambassador and his team.

Video footage and pictures have also surfaced in many social media posts, in which incidents of mob violence can be seen in the hostels of foreign students in Bishkek. At the same time, many people have also appealed to the concerned authorities for immediate help to Pakistani students.

A social media influencer from Pakistan has shared some videos on X and described the situation in Bishkek. He says that Pakistani medical students are in danger in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. There was a fight between Egyptian people and local Kyrgyz people, but Pakistani students are being wrongly accused of this. Now, Kyrgyz locals are attacking Pakistani hostels, each of which houses more than 1000 students.

According to Pakistani Ambassador Hassan Zaigham, the embassy staff is constantly responding to the calls of Pakistani students. Along with this, they are also providing them all possible help. Responding to an X post, he said, “The Pakistani Embassy is trying its best to help the Pakistani students trapped in crisis.” FO spokesperson Baloch also supported the ambassador and said that he and his team are available on the emergency numbers provided. They are also available on WhatsApp. He said, “So far he has answered hundreds of questions from students and their families. If the phone numbers do not connect due to traffic, please text/Whatsapp.”

We saved our lives by hiding in the washroom. We were rescued by the army and we are fine, but many children are not fine. We are on the 6th floor of the hostel. The doors of the entire floor are broken. They have also beaten up Pakistanis by going into the apartments. We are sitting with the door of the room closed and the lights switched off. We don’t know if we are safe or not.”
