Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bishkek Hassan Zaigham said in a social media post that the embassy is in touch with local law enforcement officials to ensure the safety of Pakistani students. In view of the violent mob outside the hostels in Bishkek, the embassy has strictly instructed all Pakistani students not to go out until the situation normalizes. The Pakistani ambassador said, we are in touch with local law enforcement officials to ensure the safety of our student community. Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch also reposted the ambassador’s message on X and said that the embassy is in touch with the Kyrgyz authorities to facilitate Pakistani students, as their safety is of paramount importance to the ambassador and his team.

They are also available on WhatsApp. He said, “So far he has answered hundreds of questions from students and their families. If the phone numbers do not connect due to traffic, please text/Whatsapp.”
