A major accident happened with Indian soldiers in Ladakh. 5 soldiers were martyred when the tank got stuck in the Shyok river. The Indian Army’s T-72 tank was conducting a military exercise in the Daulat Beg Oldi area of ​​Ladakh on Friday night.
During that time, two tanks were crossing the Shyok river together. While crossing the river, the water level rose a lot. Somehow one tank got out, the other tank got stuck inside the Shyok river.

Actually, the process of taking out a tank from inside water during night practice is called fording. During the tank practice at night, as soon as the soldiers saw that the second tank was sinking in the water, two soldiers ran towards the first tank and tried to save it.

5 soldiers martyred

At that time, the first T-72 tank, inside which a JCO and two soldiers were present, completely drowned in the water. Two more soldiers tried to save them. In this way, 5 soldiers were martyred in this accident. The place where this accident happened is a very strategic area near the Line of Actual Control.

Army soldiers were riding in the T-72 tank

The bodies of the army soldiers have been recovered from the spot. Army officials said that this incident happened 148 km away from Leh. This incident happened around 1 o’clock on Friday night. All the army soldiers were riding on T-72 tanks.

Last year 9 soldiers were martyred in a road accident

Let us tell you that last year an army truck went off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Kyari in Leh district. Nine soldiers including a JCO were martyred in this accident.
