Another layer of terrorism nurtured on Pakistani soil and its interference in Indian Kashmir has been exposed. Lashkar-e-Taiba’s top commander Faisal Nadeem has publicly admitted that he has been carrying out terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Faisal Nadeem made this confession during a rally organized recently in support of the Pakistani army, which has exposed all the claims of Pakistan in which it has been trying to distance itself from terrorism.
Speaking at the rally, Nadeem said, “We are among those whose martyrs’ blood is present in every nook and corner of Kashmir. There is no village, no city where the blood of our martyrs has not been shed.” It is clear from this statement that Pakistani terrorist organizations have been continuously sending their terrorists to India’s Jammu and Kashmir.
Nadeem further said, “We will neither retreat from the blood of our martyrs nor will we allow our governments to retreat. Until every inch of Kashmir is liberated (i.e. separated from India), our convoy will continue like this.” Analysts are considering this statement as an open confession of war and violence against India.
Faisal Nadeem is close to Hafiz Saeed
Faisal Nadeem is considered to be the top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba and very close to the organization’s chief Hafiz Saeed. Indian intelligence agencies have already issued alerts regarding his presence and role, but now his public statement raises a big question on Pakistan’s role.
This confession has come at a time when India had accused Pakistan of supporting terrorism after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22 this year. In response to that attack, India had also taken action against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied areas. At that time, Pakistan rejected these allegations and claimed that India was attacking on false pretexts.
Support to terrorism from Pakistan’s soil
But now it has become clear from Faisal Nadeem’s public statement that terrorist activities are being carried out from Pakistan’s soil and the organizations working under the shadow of the army and the government also have a role in it.
India has already described Pakistan as a country supporting terrorism on many international forums. Pakistan has also faced warnings and surveillance many times on forums like the United Nations and FATF for giving shelter to terrorism. Now Faisal Nadeem’s confession can strengthen India on this front.
This incident has once again exposed that terrorism remains a part of Pakistan’s policies and the army there is openly supporting it. This statement of Faisal Nadeem is being seen as evidence of Pakistan’s declared but negative strategy against India.
