Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president and Union minister Chirag Paswan accused opposition parties in Bihar of trying to create a rift in the NDA by “exaggerating” his previous statements on the law and order situation in the state and said “I trust Nitish Kumar”.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president and Union minister Chirag Paswan accused opposition parties in Bihar of trying to drive a wedge within the NDA by “exaggerating” his previous statements on the law and order situation in the state. In July, Chirag Paswan had said he was sad to support a government in Bihar “which is failing so badly on the law and order front.” His statement came in the wake of the July 24 gang-rape of a Bihar Military Police aspirant in Bodh Gaya and recent violent crimes in Bihar.

Claims to win over 225 seats

Speaking to news agency ANI, Chirag Paswan clarified that his comments were as a public representative and a partner in the ruling coalition. “I try to put the issues of the public in front of the public. Chirag Paswan claimed that this time also the NDA government will be formed in the elections. We will win more than 225 seats and form the government. We are together. He said that I am a part of the government and I have got that platform to put forward my views.

Said this on the issue of law and order

Chirag said that I am supporting the government, so when I find examples that increase the problems of Biharis, like the issue of law and order, I try to put it strongly in front of the government so that action can be taken. He said, “I have faith in Nitish Kumar and his governance.

The Union Minister said that the opposition tries to mislead people about my words. He alleged that the opposition is deliberately misinterpreting his statements to create confusion among the public. The opposition tries its best to show the rift between us by exaggerating my words.

Targeting Tejashwi

Targeting RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Chirag Paswan said that his vision is “women-youth”. Paswan said, “While Tejashwi Yadav is carrying forward the same old MY (Muslim-Yadav) system of his party. His ideology is different, which promotes communalism and casteism. My MY system means women-youth.”
