The TMC leadership has claimed that he was murdered, allegedly by CPM-supported miscreants. At the same time, CPM has claimed that Mintu Shaikh has been murdered due to TMC factional clash. Apart from all this, the police has claimed that this murder was done due to some old enmity.
Police said- the attack happened due to old enmity
In this matter, Kolkata Police says that we have received information that when Mintu of village Chechuri, Ankhona GP under Ketugram PS was traveling on a bike, some people of the same area tried to kill him due to long standing enmity. Stopped. When Mintu tried to escape, a bomb was thrown at him, due to which he died. Many cases are registered on both sides. The accused are absconding since the attack. Raids are being conducted at many places to arrest them. This attack was carried out because of old enmity.
Heavy police force deployed in the area
