Lok Sabha Elections 2024: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while addressing the election rally in Cooch Behar, said regarding CAA and NRC, ‘Once you can trust the snake, not the BJP’

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee fiercely attacked BJP while addressing a rally in Cooch Behar on Thursday (April 4). Mamata Banerjee made serious allegations against BJP for not following the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) implemented in view of the Lok Sabha elections. He also said that you can trust a poisonous snake once, but not the saffron party.

According to news agency PTI, TMC supremo Banerjee intensified her attacks on BJP and alleged that the central investigative agencies, Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) are working at the behest of BJP. He urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to look into this and ensure level playing field for all political parties.

Taking on BJP on the issue of re-enrolment in the housing scheme, Mamata Banerjee said that she wants to get the nomination done again so that she can end it. Taking aim at BJP on this, Mamata Banerjee further said that you can trust a poisonous snake and keep it but never trust BJP. BJP is ruining the country.

He said that TMC is not going to bow down to the threats of central agencies. He also made serious allegations against NIA, Income Tax, BSF and CISF etc. working for BJP.

‘Will not implement CAA-NRC in Bengal’

Terming BJP as a ‘jumla’ party, the TMC supremo also made serious allegations against the saffron party of ‘spreading lies’ regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said that CAA is a trap to turn legal citizens into foreigners. Once BJP implements CAA, NRC will have to be followed. He strictly said that neither CAA nor NRC will be allowed to be implemented in West Bengal. If you apply for CAA, you will be designated a foreigner.

‘I had given name to India Alliance’

Mamta Banerjee said that there is no ‘India’ faction in West Bengal. I played an important role in the formation of the opposition India Bloc. Even the name of the alliance was given by me, but CPI (M) and Congress are working for BJP in Bengal.

ISF helps BJP like AIMIM

Banerjee appealed to the public and said that if you want to defeat BJP then never vote for Congress and CPI (M). CPI(M) and Congress and their ally, a minority party, should not cast a single vote for ISF. He said, “This minority party (ISF) is exactly like AIMIM. It works to divide minority votes and help BJP.

‘BJP retaliated on Mamta Banerjee’s statement’
BJP leader Shazia Ilmi has strongly criticized Mamata Banerjee’s statement. Ilmi said that I do not want to repeat the bad language that Mamata Banerjee has used against the Prime Minister. Her political rivalry and fear has increased so much that she is now using such abusive language. Due to this she is becoming a laughing stock among the voters. It is clearly visible from his such indecent statements that he is in panic.
