Lucknow News: On the lines of Maharashtra, AMVI will now be deployed in UP also

Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI) will soon be deployed in the state on the lines of Maharashtra, who will be deployed at the tehsil level. They will also do the work of checking DL, enforcement and maintenance of the vehicle etc.

In this regard, the Transport Department has made a proposal for about 400 posts and sent it to the government. This decision will also provide a good opportunity to the youth to get employment.

Recruitment will be done on 400 posts

In view of the increasing road accidents in the state, the department is continuously working on road safety. Transport Commissioner Chandrabhushan Singh said that efforts are underway to deploy about 400 AMVI officers at the tehsil level. A proposal has been sent to the government regarding this. It is expected that approval will be received soon, after which recruitment will be done. Initially, recruitment will be done on the posts of Assistant. After this, he will be promoted to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector. New posts will be created, which will provide employment opportunities.

 

 Polytechnic students will be recruited

Technical students of polytechnic colleges will be recruited on these posts. They will work at the tehsil level to check the fitness, enforcement and DL etc. of the vehicles. His special focus will be on curbing road accidents and stopping sour vehicles from plying.

 

A proposal has been sent to the government for approval of AMVI posts from the level of Transport Department Headquarters. Soon these officers will be seen working.
