Madhubani: Dacoits absconded at gunpoint with a large quantity of jewelery and money from the house of gold businessman Shravan Sah.

Madhubani: In Sukki village of Khajauli police station area of the district, dacoits carried out a gruesome robbery at the house and shop of gold businessman Shravan Sah late on Wednesday night. The dacoits looted 5 kg silver worth Rs 30 lakh, 200 grams of gold worth Rs 12 lakh and Rs 85 thousand in cash. When they protested, the gold trader and his wife were beaten up. Also shot businessman’s son Krishna Kumar. At the same time, after this incident there was an atmosphere of panic in the area. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

The dacoits also fired two rounds during the robbery.

The businessman’s wife Lalita Devi and daughter told that the dacoits got the gate opened with the help of weapons. The dacoits were armed with pistols, axes, iron rods and other sharp weapons. The dacoits fired two rounds during the robbery. The incident took place around 12:30 in the night. At the same time, the dacoits escaped with a large quantity of jewelery and a huge amount of money from the house of gold businessman Shravan Sah.

Further, the victim’s family told that the dacoit had a pistol and a sharp weapon in his hands. The dacoits were approximately 20 in number. Of these, 6 dacoits were inside the house. Meanwhile, as soon as information about the incident was received, Sadar SDPO Rajeev Kumar reached the spot and started investigation. Sadar SDPO Rajiv Kumar said that we are investigating on the basis of CCTV, information received and other technical investigations. Very soon the criminals will be within the ambit of the law.
