A case of suicide by hanging by a prisoner serving sentence in Khandwa district jail of Madhya Pradesh has come to light. It is being told that the convicted prisoner was serving double life imprisonment for the crime of raping his own 7-year-old minor daughter. He was sentenced to double imprisonment by the Khandwa district court just two days ago.
The father was in jail for the last 4 years and he hanged himself by making a noose of the string of his pyjama behind his barrack and committed suicide. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the jail management and police became active. After this, the police sent the body of the deceased prisoner to the district hospital for post-mortem. The magistrate and police have reached the jail premises to investigate the matter.
This prisoner was found guilty two days ago in the case of raping his 7-year-old minor daughter, for which the court sentenced him to double life imprisonment. The victim minor also died during the hearing of this case. Regarding the incident, Jail Superintendent Aditi Chaturvedi said that the prisoner who committed suicide was lodged in our jail since 2021. Two days ago, the court had sentenced him to double life imprisonment after finding him guilty of raping his own minor daughter. The prisoner hanged himself with the string of his lower behind the barrack in the evening. As per the rules, the judicial magistrate has got this matter investigated.
