Bhopal: A strange case of divorce has come to light after just 6 months of marriage in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. It is said that a wife applied for divorce from her husband in the family court only because her husband took her to Ayodhya by promising to take her to Goa on honeymoon. The matter is of Piplani area of Bhopal. The couple got married in August last year. But the location of the honeymoon became the reason for the dispute. Instead of taking his wife to Goa, the husband took him to Banaras and Ayodhya. Angered by this, the wife filed a divorce application in the family court, where both husband and wife are being counselled.
Wife’s insistence on going abroad on honeymoon
According to the application given in the court, the wife has written in the petition for divorce from her husband that the husband had promised to take the wife to Goa but instead of Goa, he took her to Banaras and Ayodhya. According to Shail Awasthi, Relationship Counsel of the Family Court, the couple got married in August last year. Husband is an IT engineer with a good salary. After marriage, the wife had asked her husband to take her to a foreign place for honeymoon, but citing the health of her elderly parents, the husband suggested visiting a good place in India.
Wife said- Husband gives more time to family
After this, both of them agreed to go to Goa. But according to the wife, a day before the trip, the husband told her that he had to take his mother to visit the temple, hence they were going to Ayodhya and Banaras. The wife had a fight with her husband after returning from a trip, after which the wife filed an application for divorce in the family court. Family Court’s relationship counselor Shail Awasthi is now counseling both husband and wife. So that the broken relationship can be saved. However, according to the wife, the husband ignores her and gives more time to his family and taking her to Ayodhya instead of Goa is a breach of her trust.
