Madhya Pradesh: Case registered against husband in Ratlam district for giving triple talaq to his 21-year-old wife, married in December last year

Ratlam: A case has been registered against a husband for giving triple talaq to his 21-year-old wife in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. Police gave this information on Sunday. An official said that on the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and the Muslim Women (Protection of Marriage Rights) Act.

Ratlam Station Road Police Station in-charge Swaraj Dabi said that the complainant alleged that when she went to her husband’s salon with her aunt and sister on April 3, he misbehaved with the woman, slapped her and threatened to kill her.

He said that after this the man allegedly said ‘talaq-talaq-talaq’ three times. The officer said that the two got married in December last year and just a month after the marriage, the said person started asking his wife to live with her parents.
