According to the information, the goods train coming on the up track of Mumbai-Delhi railway route was going from Baroda to Makaniya depot near Bhopal. During this, two wagons of the goods train derailed due to which the train was stopped at nearby stations. As soon as the news of the accident came late at night, all the senior officials including the collector reached the spot. Officials of Indian Oil depot were also called. During this, all the resources were also arranged to empty the diesel tank. Railway police personnel remained deployed near the wagon for security.
Crowd gathered to fill diesel
When people came to know in the morning that the tankers of the goods train have derailed and diesel is in it and it is flowing down. People from the vicinity started looting diesel with buckets, canisters and cans. According to sources, during this time, the villagers collected hundreds of liters of diesel and took it home.
