Five girls drowned and died in two incidents in Satna and Sidhi districts of Madhya Pradesh. Officials gave this information. Both these incidents happened on Saturday. Officials said that three sisters died after drowning in a pit in Satna. Two of the three sisters were twins. In Sidhi district, two sisters died after drowning in a pond. Pits were dug months ago for road construction in Richul village under Jaso police station of Satna district. This pit was filled with water.
In this case, Jaso police station in-charge Rohit Yadav said that the daughters of Rajkumar Chaurasia of the village, 8-year-old Tanya and 5-year-old twin sisters Jhanvi and Gauri died after falling into a pit in Richul village and drowning. Jaso police station in-charge said that these three girls had gone into the pit to take a bath. When the girls did not return after a long time, the family started searching for them. While searching, the family found him dead in a mine pit.
Police is investigating the matter
Jaso police station in-charge said that the matter is being investigated. The village sarpanch Sandhya Upadhyay said that the contractor had not taken permission to dig the soil for road construction work. He did the work of digging the soil without permission. Therefore, the pit got filled with water due to the recent rains.
The girls who went to pluck flowers did not return
The police officer said that the villagers also demonstrated demanding the arrest of the contractor. Talking about Sidhi district, two girls of Pand village under Majhauli police station died on Saturday after drowning in a pond. The girls were 9 and 11 years old. Majhauli police station sub-inspector PL Dandia said that the girls of Ramsakha Sahu of the village had gone to pluck flowers and went to the pond to take a bath.
The sub-inspector of Majhauli police station said that a person saw a basket of flowers. Then he informed the family members. As soon as the information was received, the police force also reached the spot. The dead bodies of both the girls were taken out. A case of accidental death has been registered and investigation has been started.
