Madhya Pradesh High Court will hear the matter of releasing the result of NEET UG exam today, interim stay was imposed

The Madhya Pradesh High Court is scheduled to hear the matter regarding the release of the NEET-UG exam results today i.e. on 26 May 2025. The Indore bench had imposed an interim stay on the result on 15 May. Earlier, the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court had changed its order of interim stay on the declaration of the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) held on 4 May. The court had allowed the declaration of results of other examination centers in the country except the 11 examination centers affected by the power outage in Indore.

The court had ordered on the petition of a student of Indore that the results of NEET-UG should not be declared till the next hearing. The student had said in her petition that her performance in the exam was badly affected due to the power outage after the weather turned bad in the city during NEET-UG and she should be given a chance to appear in the exam again.

Solicitor General had given this argument
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had argued before High Court judge Subodh Abhyankar that the problem of power failure had occurred only in 11 centers of Indore, so the order should be changed and permission should be given to declare the results of other examination centers of the country. Petitioner’s lawyer Mridul Bhatnagar had objected to this plea of Mehta. After considering the arguments of both the parties, the High Court modified the order of Thursday and allowed to declare the results of NEET-UG of all other examination centers of the country except the examination centers affected by power failure in Indore. Let us tell you that about 21 lakh candidates from all over the country appeared in the NEET UG exam.
