The patient is a 17-year-old youth, whose name is Nilesh Ahakhe. Nilesh’s bike met with an accident after being hit by an unknown vehicle. Nilesh was also badly injured in this accident. During this, Nilesh was brought to Betul District Hospital for treatment. On reaching the hospital, he saw that no one was ready to treat him.

Told the collector about his ordeal

Angry at this, Nilesh called District Collector Narendra Suryavanshi late at night. Nilesh told the collector all about his ordeal on the phone. On hearing this, the collector reached the hospital at around 3 o’clock in the night. The collector went straight to the male surgical ward, where he talked to the patient.

The collector came into action mode
The collector took stock of the patient’s condition. After this, the Chief Medical Officer, Civil Surgeon and other doctors on duty were also called, who were absconding from the spot. After the collector came into action mode, the treatment of the injured patient started soon.

What did the collector say?

During this, the collector said that generally no one will call at night unless the matter is serious. That is why he immediately reached the hospital. But during this time the doctor was not present on duty. At present, a notice has been issued to the concerned doctor by the collector. Along with this, instructions have also been issued to the Civil Surgeon and Chief Medical. The collector says that in future also such inspections and their follow-up will be done regularly.
