Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in a private bus on Maharashtra’s Mumbai-Pune Express on Saturday morning. There were 36 passengers in the bus. According to the information received, as soon as this bus entered the village of Vadgaon police station area from Mumbai Pune Express Highway, its tire burst. Due to this, due to short circuit in the bus, a massive fire broke out in no time, but fortunately, all 36 passengers were taken out of the bus safely before any major accident could happen.
Traffic remained affected on the highway for several hours
As soon as the information about the massive fire in the bus was known, police, Devdoot Machine, Delta Force, Vadgaon Traffic Police reached the spot. By the time the firefighters could control the fire, the bus was completely burnt. Due to this, traffic on Mumbai Pune Express Highway was stopped.
There was also a fire near Khopoli Interchange
Recently, a bus caught fire at midnight near Khopoli Interchange on Mumbai-Pune Expressway. No one was injured in the incident. After the fire in the bus, 42 passengers got down immediately and a major accident was averted. The bus was completely destroyed in the fire. At around 2.30 in the night, a private bus carrying passengers was going to Pune from the expressway. Traffic at the ghat was stopped for some time after the bus caught fire.
