Maharashtra: A unique case has come to light from Washim in Maharashtra, where an interesting incident took place during the recovery campaign of Mahavitaran Electricity Company. A customer of Risod city of the district paid his electricity bill of Rs 7,160 in 1 and 2 rupee coins. The total weight of these coins was about 40 kg.

The employees of Mahavitaran Electricity Company brought these coins from the customer to the office by covering a distance of one kilometer on a two-wheeler. At the same time, it took about five hours for three employees Prashant Thote (cashier), Uddhav Gajbhar (lineman) and Atul Ther (contract worker) to count the coins.

Employees sweated while counting coins

Not only this, the employees had to work hard while counting the coins and sweated despite the cold. However, since these coins were in circulation, Mahavitaran employees did not have the right to refuse to accept coins from the customer. This incident has been recorded as a unique challenge during the recovery process of Mahavitaran.
