Maharashtra: Alert issued in the country’s most famous religious place Shri Sai Baba Mandir, offering flowers, garlands, prasad, bouquets and shawls in the temple is banned

An alert has been issued in the country’s most famous religious place Shri Sai Baba Temple located in Maharashtra. Now devotees have been banned from offering flowers, garlands, prasad, bouquets and shawls in the temple. This order has been implemented with immediate effect. Along with this, it has also been said that this ban will remain in force till further orders. Let us tell you that in the past, Sai Baba temple also received a threat of bombing. In such a situation, this decision has been taken as a precaution.

Ban on offerings

In fact, Shri Sai Baba Sansthan of Shirdi received an email on 2 May 2025, in which there was a threat to blow up Shri Sai Baba’s temple with a bomb. In view of the current tension between India and Pakistan, an alert has been issued across the country. In such a situation, due to security reasons, there will be a strict ban on bringing garlands, flowers, bouquets, prasad, shawls etc. to Shri Sai Baba Temple after May 11, 2025 till further orders. Also, Sai Baba Sansthan Trust has appealed to all Sai devotees to cooperate in terms of security.

Threat of bomb blast was received
Let us tell you that a few days ago, Sai Baba temple had received a threat of bomb blast through e-mail. As soon as the information was received, police teams were dispatched to the spot. Police thoroughly searched the entire temple premises. However, no suspicious object or bomb was found in and around the temple. The accused had sent the threat of bomb blast to the Sai Baba temple on the mail of the temple trust. Goraksha Gadilkar, CEO of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan, said, “The Sansthan (Trust) has its own security staff. After receiving the email, our staff conducted a search along with several police teams, but nothing suspicious was found.” Let us tell you that lakhs of devotees visit this temple from all over the country.
