Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: In the midst of Maharashtra elections, Sharad Pawar’s leader has given such a statement, which has caused a stir in politics. NCP (SP) leader Jitendra Awhad has claimed that if the MVA government is formed in Maharashtra, then JDU’s Nitish Kumar and TDP’s N. Chandrababu Naidu will withdraw their support from the BJP-led central government.
The party has once again made Jitendra Awhad, the sitting MLA of Mumbra-Kalwa assembly constituency, its candidate. He targeted the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde government over the ‘financial instability’ of Maharashtra and accused the BJP-RSS of trying to disturb the peace in the country.
At a rally in Mumbra near Thane on Saturday, Jitendra Awhad claimed that if the opposition alliance forms the MVA government after the assembly elections to be held on November 20, then Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu, BJP’s allies at the Center, will stop supporting it. Without elaborating, he said that once in power, the MVA “will provide a monthly financial assistance of Rs 3,000.”
Big attack on Ajit Pawar
The leader of the Sharad faction said that the BJP-led Mahayuti government cannot even meet essential expenses like police salaries. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who led a split in the NCP last year, had separated his uncle and party founder Sharad Pawar from the activities of the organisation. He also accused Ajit Pawar of “drifting towards the ideologies of the RSS”.
Criticised CM Eknath Shinde
Jitendra Awhad claimed that the BJP-led Mahayuti government has failed to stop communal violence in the state and criticised Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for sharing the stage with religious leader Ramgiri Maharaj, accused of making objectionable remarks against Islam. Awhad, a three-time MLA in the Mumbra-Kalwa constituency, is pitted against NCP’s Najeeb Mulla.
