The action lasted for two days
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar held a press conference regarding the action. During this, he told that the Crime Branch team has seized more than 600 kg of Mephedrone drugs worth Rs 1100 crore in two days. Action was taken by the Pune Crime Branch team for the second day today. In which, by running a big operation on Tuesday, the Crime Branch team has seized 550 kg of Mephedrone Drugs (MD). This action was taken in a chemical company in Kurkumbh MIDC. In this case, the police took the factory owner named Anil Sable into custody from Dombivali in the morning.
Action was taken on Monday also
The Crime Branch team of Pune Police had also seized 55 kg of Mephedrone drugs (MD) in an operation conducted late night on Monday (February 19). After this, a raid was conducted on a chemical company in Kurkumbh MIDC, from where a large quantity of MD drugs were seized. Police is investigating whether drug mafia Lalit Patil is related to this drug smuggling case. The Crime Branch had arrested three drug smugglers on Monday.
International smugglers may be involved
Let us tell you that this drug smuggling business starts from a salt warehouse. Police have expressed suspicion that international smugglers are involved in this. The police conducted a quick investigation and seized 55 kg of mephedrone drugs by Monday evening. The police have taken this action in Bhairavnagar located in Vishrantwadi area of Pune. This action was taken under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Praveen Pawar, Additional Commissioner of Police Crime Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Amol Zende, Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime-1 Sunil Tambe, Assistant Commissioner of Police.
