Maharashtra MLC Election 2024: Voting is being held today (26 June) for four constituencies of Maharashtra Legislative Council. These four constituencies include two teachers and two graduate constituencies. Mumbai and Konkan are graduate constituencies, while Nashik and Mumbai are teacher constituencies. In this election, 4.29 lakh voters will decide the political fate of 55 candidates. Here the main contest is between the candidates of Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi.

The main contest is between five candidates in the Mumbai Teachers constituency. It includes JM Abhyankar (Shiv Sena UBT), Shivnath Darade (BJP), Subhash More (Shikshak Bharati), Shivaji Shendge (Shiv Sena Shinde faction), Shivaji Nalawade (NCP).

Total voters in Mumbai Teachers constituency

There are 2 thousand 14 female and 511 male voters in the Mumbai urban area of ​​​​the Mumbai Teachers constituency. Whereas in Mumbai suburbs there are 9 thousand 872 female voters and 3 thousand 442 male voters, that is, there are a total of 15 thousand 839 voters. Mainly two candidates are contesting in the Mumbai Graduate constituency. Among them Anil Parab, Shiv Sena Thackeray faction and Kiran Shelar are from BJP.

Total voters in Konkan Graduate constituency

In Raigad district of Konkan Graduate constituency, there are 23 thousand 356 female and 30 thousand 843 male voters. While there are 9 third gender voters. At the same time, there are 9 thousand 228 female and 13 thousand 453 male voters in Ratnagiri district.

In Sindhudurg district, there are 7 thousand 498 female voters. While the number of male voters is 11 thousand 53. There are a total of 2 lakh 23 thousand 225 voters in Konkan Graduate constituency. In the Konkan Graduate constituency, there will be a direct contest between BJP Legislative Council member Niranjan Davkhare and Congress candidate Ramesh Keer.

The term of these four seats will end on 7 July 2024. The polling date is 26 June and the counting of votes will take place on 1 July. The main fight for this election is between Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti.
