Maharashtra MLC Election Result: The results for four seats of the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections held after the Lok Sabha elections were declared on Monday (June 1). Shiv Sena UBT of Uddhav Thackeray faction dominated the elections for Mumbai Graduate and Mumbai Teachers constituency. Shiv Sena (UBT) candidates won both the seats in Mumbai.
While Anil Parab of Shiv Sena (UBT) won from the Mumbai Graduate seat, J.M. Abhyankar was successful in winning the election from the Mumbai Teachers seat. Niranjan Davkhare of BJP won the Konkan Graduate seat. At the same time, the result for the Nasir Teachers seat is yet to come.
Anil Parab defeated BJP’s Kiran Shelar
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab on Monday defeated Kiran Shelar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and won the Maharashtra Legislative Council election from the Mumbai Graduate constituency. Parab got 44,784 votes, while Shelar got 18,772 votes. A total of 67,644 voters exercised their franchise in the polling held on June 26.
Out of the total votes cast, 64,222 votes were found valid and the winning quota was 32,112 votes. Anil Parab got 44,784 votes in the first preference voting and was declared elected. Voting was held on June 26 for four seats for the Legislative Council. Voting was held for Mumbai Graduates, Konkan Graduates, Mumbai Teachers and Nashik Teachers and the results were announced on June 1.
There will be only Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena in Mumbai – Anil Parab
After winning from the Mumbai Graduate constituency, Anil Parab has expressed his happiness and reacted. He said, “I offer this victory at the feet of Balasaheb Thackeray. May Bala Saheb’s blessings remain like this. I am grateful to Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray for showing faith in me. Thanks to Shiv Sena and the constituent parties of the Maha Vikas Aghadi who fought for my victory. It has been proved that only Uddhav Thackeray’s Shivsena will be there in Mumbai.
