During this, they also said that there is no pressure of any kind on them and they have taken the decision to close the case themselves.

Akshay Shinde was killed in an encounter

Last year in 2024, a case of sexual assault of two girls inside the bathroom of a school in Badlapur town of Thane district came to light. In this case, the police arrested 24-year-old Akshay Shinde. Akshay worked as an attendant in that school. When the police was taking him from Taloja jail in Mumbai to Thane for interrogation, Akshay was killed in an alleged encounter with the police.

Five policemen were convicted

In the magistrate’s investigation report in January last month, five policemen were convicted in this case. The investigation report was submitted to the Bombay High Court, which said that the police’s claim of firing in self-defense in September last year is doubtful. Magistrate Ashok Shengade had said in his report that after considering all the evidence including the forensic report, it is found that there is solid evidence in the allegation of Akshay’s parents that their son was killed in a fake encounter. Akshay’s parents had claimed that their son was killed by the police in a fake encounter.
