If Uddhav and Raj Thackeray come together before the elections, then the Uddhav faction will get strengthened. However, this may cause a rift in the Mahavikas Aghadi.
Will Sharad and Ajit come together?
Sharad Pawar has said that he is ready to form an alliance with any party other than BJP. In such a situation, he can also form an alliance with NCP Ajit faction. If this happens, there can be a rift in the Mahayuti as well. However, its possibilities seem less. Sharad Pawar has another option to form an alliance with other small regional parties. NCP’s hold in Mumbai is not very strong. In such a situation, he would not like to contest the elections alone.
Crack in India alliance as well
During the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the opposition parties had formed the India alliance. The performance of this alliance in Maharashtra was also excellent. After this, the Maha Vikas Aghadi had to face a crushing defeat in the assembly elections. After the Lok Sabha elections, the India alliance is also falling apart. Aam Aadmi Party is contesting the elections alone. Congress and TMC have also parted ways. In such a situation, the Maha Vikas Aghadi can also break. In this situation, Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray can save their ground by forming an alliance with local parties. However, the Congress will have to regain its lost public support.
Everything is fine in Mahayuti
Mahayuti performed brilliantly in the assembly elections and BJP emerged as the largest party. In such a situation, the Chief Minister of the state is also from BJP. Everything seems fine in this alliance. So far no one has talked about contesting elections by separating from the alliance. Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will suffer the most if they separate from the alliance. For this reason, it seems quite likely that the parties of Mahayuti will contest the municipal elections together. At the same time, the parties of Mahavikas Aghadi can contest the elections separately.
