Sharad Pawar’s NCP has suffered a major setback before the assembly elections in Maharashtra. Sharad NCP leader Manikrao Sonwalkar has joined the BJP. Manikrao Sonwalkar joined the BJP in the presence of state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule. BJP leaders have congratulated Sonwalkar on joining the BJP.
Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, “14.5 crore people know that the Maha Vikas Aghadi is trying to incite controversy between different communities as the assembly elections are approaching. Such incidents never happened when the Congress government was formed because there was no dirty politics.” Whenever a government is formed against the Congress in the opposition, be it the country or the state, they work to spoil the society and spread confusion among the public.”
Assembly elections are going to be held in Maharashtra in the next few months. Both the ruling party’s Mahayuti i.e. NDA and the opposition’s Maha Vikas Aghadi are busy preparing for the elections. A series of meetings are going on regarding seat sharing among the parties involved in both the alliances. On one hand, politics is going on in NDA regarding seat sharing, while on the other hand, a big meeting is going to be held in Mahavikas Aghadi regarding seat sharing. After the seat sharing is done, politics will take on more color and it will be interesting to see who will win the assembly elections this time.
