Shiv Sena MP from Buldhana region of Maharashtra and Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav on Saturday claimed that his three generations, including him, have never paid agricultural electricity bills. He said that I am a farmer. We have not paid bills for the last three generations. My grandfather’s water pumps are still there. Neither my grandfather nor my father, nor I have not paid agricultural electricity bills.
In fact, MP Prataprao Jadhav said this during a speech at a program on the Agricultural Electricity Bill Waiver Scheme, a scheme launched by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Prataprao Jadhav said that if the distribution panel (DP) burns, he will give Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 to the concerned engineer to install a new panel, the scheme program in which he said this is named ‘Mukhyamantri Baliraja Free Electricity Scheme 2024’. ‘Chief Minister Baliraja Free Electricity Scheme 2024’
Through the ‘Chief Minister Baliraja Free Electricity Scheme 2024’, free electricity is given to the farmers of the state for irrigation. In this scheme, free electricity is given to those farmers who use agricultural pumps with a capacity of up to 7.5 horsepower. Farmers can avail the benefits of this scheme till the year 2029, for which the state government has allocated a budget of Rs 6,985 crore, but to avail this scheme, the farmer must be a native of Maharashtra.
Prataprao Jadhav
If we talk about Prataprao Jadhav, he has been an MLA thrice and an MP four times. Apart from this, he has also been the Minister of State for Sports, Youth Welfare and Irrigation in the Maharashtra Government from 1997 to 1999, that is, he has been in politics for a very long time, in such a situation, he gave this statement that neither his grandfather nor his father ever paid the farm electricity bill.
