Maharashtra: Sources have given information about which party can get which departments in the cabinet expansion that will happen soon after the formation of the Mahayuti government. Know more…

Mumbai: After the assembly elections in Maharashtra, the Mahayuti government has been formed. The CM and two deputy CMs have also taken oath. After this, everyone’s eyes are now fixed on the first cabinet expansion of this Mahayuti government. It is being told from sources that the first expansion of the cabinet of Devendra Fadnavis government in Maharashtra can happen on 11 or 12 December. It can possibly be finalized on 12 December. Let us tell you that the total number of ministers in Maharashtra including the Chief Minister is 43. In this, BJP can get 21 including the Chief Minister, Shiv Sena (Shinde) 12 and NCP (Ajit Pawar) can get 10 ministerial posts.

According to sources, in the cabinet expansion, about 30 to 32 MLAs can be given place in the council of ministers by swearing in as ministers. In this, 15 MLAs from BJP, 8 from Shiv Sena (Shinde) and 7-9 MLAs from NCP (Ajit Pawar) can be sworn in as ministers.

Which party will get which department

According to sources, BJP can have Home, Law and Justice, Home Minister Construction, Energy, Raj Etiquette, Irrigation, Rural Development, Tourism, Revenue, Skill Development, General Administration and Tribal departments. Shiv Sena (Shinde) can be given Urban Development, Excise, Social Justice, Environment, Mining, Water Supply, Industry, Health, Education and PWD departments. Apart from this, NCP (Ajit Pawar) can get Finance and Planning, Food and Supply, FDA, Agriculture, Women and Child Development, Sports and Youth Welfare and Relief and Rehabilitation departments.

According to sources, BJP will keep the Home Ministry with itself. Eknath Shinde can be given the Urban Development Department. Ajit Pawar is demanding the Finance Department, but Devendra Fadnavis wants to keep the Finance Department along with Home. There will be discussions with Ajit Pawar on this department. In return, BJP wants to give Ajit Pawar Energy or Housing Department. Apart from this, discussions are still going on on Urban Development, Revenue, Tribal, Agriculture, Rural Development, Medical Education, Women and Child Development Department. Some departments can be exchanged.

The final decision will be taken in the Mahayuti meeting.

According to sources, BJP wants to keep the Urban Development Department with itself and wants to give Revenue and PWD departments to Shiv Sena. However, the final seal has not been put on this yet. Apart from this, BJP wants to keep the post of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and Chairman of the Legislative Council with itself. It wants to give the post of Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly to Ajit Pawar and the post of Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council to Shiv Sena.
