On Sunday (23 February), a meeting of the Working Advisory Committee of Assembly and Legislative Council was held in Mumbai. In this meeting, the action of the session was discussed.

The meeting was attended by Legislative Council Speaker Ram Shinde, Assembly Speaker Advocate Rahul Narvekar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil, Minister Radhakrishna Vikha Patil, Girish Mahajan, Shamburaj Desai, MLA Prasad Lad, Praveen Darekkar, Advocate attended.

Decision to postpone proceedings on Holi
During the budget session, the proceedings of the Legislature will continue on the day of the public holiday on Saturday 8 March, while on 13 March 2025, the decision to postpone the proceedings on the occasion of Holi was taken in this meeting.

State government will provide houses to 15.1 lakh families
Earlier, the Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the state government’s ambitious housing project and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Maharashtra State Government is working to provide houses to 15.1 lakh families. We are investing Rs 70,000 crore for this purpose and with adding solar energy, this investment will gradually increase to about 1 lakh crore rupees.

CM praised Rural Development Department
During this, CM appreciated the contribution of the Rural Development Department. He said that the work done by the Rural Development Department in such a good way is commendable. The CM congratulated Rural Development Minister Jayakumar Gore, Zilla Parishad team, district officials and all various departments for their efforts. He praised the efforts made in the project, as well as reminded the people present there that the work is going on.

Fadnavis said that your work has just started, it has not been completed yet. He informed that after the distribution of the first installment of the amount, it is necessary to ensure that the work has been done according to the guidelines prescribed with geo-tagging and proper authentication before releasing the second installment.
