Let us tell you that in the year 2022, some rebel Shiv Sena MLAs who joined the camp of Eknath Shinde faction were provided enhanced security in view of the threat to them. He said that as ministers in the Shinde-led government (June 2022-November 2024), some of them had ‘Y’ category security.
He said that it is a routine practice of the state police to assess the threat perception of prominent political figures and they are provided security on the basis of intelligence reports.
