A massive fire broke out in an 11-storey building in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai on Sunday morning. Two women died in the fire. Two other people suffocated. The condition of both of them is stable now. A fire department official gave this information.
Fire broke out in the meter and wires of the building
The fire official said that a fire broke out at 6:11 am in the Panna Ali Mansion building located in Masjid Bandar area of South Mumbai. The official said that the fire broke out in the meter and wires on the ground floor of the building. During this, two women present on the first floor suffered injuries in their hands and legs and they suffocated due to the smoke caused by the fire.
Condition of two stable
The official said that after suffering severe burns, 42-year-old Sabila Khatoon Sheikh and 30-year-old Sajiya Alam Sheikh were taken to the hospital, where they were declared dead. Along with this, the official said that Karim Sheikh (20) and Shaheen Sheikh (22) were taken to the government JJ Hospital due to difficulty in breathing, where their condition is said to be stable.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained
The officer said that the fire was brought under control by around 6:30 in the morning. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The building has been completely burnt to ashes.
