Eknath Shinde On Manoj Jarange Patil: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday (February 25) has condemned the baseless allegations made by Manoj Jarange regarding Maratha reservation. He said that after making baseless allegations against Deputy CM Fadnavis, he should not test the patience of his government. Responding to Jarange, Shinde also targeted NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray.
Just a day before the start of the budget session of the Maharashtra Assembly, on Sunday, state Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis have together attacked the opponents. Along with this, he also responded to the allegations of Manoj Jarange Patil, who was agitating for the demand of Maratha reservation. On the other hand, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also attacked the opposition and said that there is no coordination among the opponents.
Deputy CM Fadnavis said that he knows everything what I did for Maratha. They are speaking the same language that Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar once spoke. I know who are the people behind them. At the same time, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that strict action will be taken against those who take law and order into their own hands. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar said that where did someone get such courage to abuse the Deputy CM, we will get it investigated.
CM Shinde said – there is no coordination among the opponents
Taking aim at the opposition, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there is no coordination between them. There is no mutual trust. The opposition is more interested in politics than the Tea Party. The reservation given to Maratha community will last this time. We have corrected the mistakes of last time. Reservation has been given after complete exercise after collecting imperial data. If the opposition is saying that reservation will not last then tell us the reasons behind it.
The opposition is working to demoralize the Maratha community. Some people want to create anarchy in the state but Maratha society is wise. He said that no one has ever used the words that Manoj Jarange Patil has used. Appropriate steps will be taken and action will be taken in this matter as per law. There is nothing bigger than the law here.
‘The government has worked in every field’
Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said, elections are ahead, hence the interim budget will be presented by Finance Minister Ajit Pawar. The government is working on all the subjects like farmers, development work, Maratha community reservation, investment in the state. I had given reservation to the Maratha community, I and the Maratha community also know what work I did for the Maratha community. We know who is behind Manoj Jarange and we will reveal it at the right time.
As far as Manoj Jarange coming to my residence is concerned, my residence is Sagar Bungalow government residence. Any person can come there for government work, there is no restriction on anyone, but if anyone disturbs the law and order, the police will take action against him.
Ajit Pawar said – Opposition is misleading milk producing farmers
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, Mahanand Dairy of Maharashtra is not being given to Gujarat but the opposition is misleading the milk producing farmers. Took oath as CM regarding Maratha reservation and the government fulfilled its promise. Jarange Patil talks to the officers in wrong language which is not appropriate, how does he have so much courage, this should also be investigated. It is not right to abuse CM-DCM. No one is above the law. The government will also investigate who is behind this.
Speaking in Antarwali Sarathi, Jarange had said that Fadnavis was trying to kill him. Jarange also announced that he will march to Mumbai and protest outside the Deputy CM’s residence. Jarange alleged that an attempt was made to poison him through saline.
‘Don’t test the patience of the government’
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that those who are repeatedly protesting against the government should not test our patience. They should not create law and order problems. I wonder why Jarrange’s speech looks like the script usually used by Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray. He was talking to journalists on the eve of the session of Maharashtra Legislature. The budget session of the state legislature will run from Monday to March 1.
What did Shinde say on Jarange’s aggressive stance?
On Jarange’s aggressive stance and use of abusive words in his speeches, Eknath Shinde said that action will be taken as per law. CM said that this is a conspiracy going on and it will be exposed soon. The CM said, “Earlier, I believed that Jarange was a true person fighting for the Maratha community. But the words spoken by him today do not match the political culture of the state. I wonder if someone is instigating him to use such language.
Was Fadnavis against Maratha reservation?
Shinde also said that if Fadnavis was against Maratha reservation then why did he form a commission in 2018 and pass a bill for reservation for the community. This law was upheld by the Bombay High Court. Referring to the tenure of Uddhav Thackeray, who led the undivided Shiv Sena as CM, he asked, who was the Chief Minister then? When the Supreme Court had rejected the state’s move to give grants to Maratha. At that time Shinde was the Urban Development Minister in the Thackeray cabinet. Shinde was one of the members of a sub-committee formed for Maratha reservation, whose chairman was Ashok Chavan of the then Congress, who is now in the BJP.
What did Devendra Fadnavis say?
Earlier, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the state government has good information about the people behind Jarange. He said details would emerge at the appropriate time. When asked about Jarange’s announcement that he would march to Mumbai to protest in front of Fadnavis’ bungalow. On this the Deputy CM said that this is his official residence and anyone with any kind of work can come here. Meanwhile, Jarange’s sudden announcement of going to Mumbai has surprised even his supporters.
