Bharat Ratna: The Narendra Modi government at the Center has awarded the highest honor like Bharat Ratna to the former Prime Minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh, after which Jayant Chaudhary has expressed happiness about it. On the other hand, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati once again reiterated her old demand. Mayawati has been making this demand for a long time, but today once again she has got only disappointment.

Actually, today the Central Government announced to give Bharat Ratna to PV Narasimha Rao, MS Swaminathan and Chaudhary Charan Singh. After this announcement, former UP CM and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati also demanded that Dalit leader Kanshi Ram be honored with India’s highest honour. Regarding this, the former CM wrote on the microblogging site, “All the personalities who have been honored with Bharat Ratna by the present BJP government are welcome, but in this matter, it is not at all appropriate to disrespect and ignore especially the Dalit personalities. The government will definitely take action in this direction as well. Pay attention.”

Not only this, Mayawati further wrote, “Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was honored with the title of Bharat Ratna by the government of Shri V.P. Singh ji after a long wait. After that, the messiah of the Dalits and the neglected, Shri Kanshi Ram ji, worked in their interests. The struggle done is no less. He should also be honored with Bharat Ratna.”

Mayawati has already made this demand
Let us tell you that this demand being raised by Bahujan Samaj Party is not new. Even before this, on many occasions, demands have been made by Mayawati and BSP to give Bharat Ratna to Kanshi Ram. Recently, when the Central Government had announced to give Bharat Ratna to Karpoori Thakur, Mayawati had also made this demand.

Mayawati had said, “The contribution of Honorable Kanshi Ram ji, the father and founder of BSP, to make the Dalits and other neglected people live with self-respect and make them stand on their feet is historic and unforgettable, who was given the Bharat Ratna as per the wish of crores of people. It is necessary to honor him with the title.”

Akash Anand had also raised the demand
Not only this, Mayawati’s nephew Akash Anand had also raised his voice for giving Bharat Ratna to Kanshi Ram. In fact, recently when the Central Government had announced Bharat Ratna to Lal Krishna Advani, Akash Anand said on social media, “Honourable Kanshi Ram Saheb ji, the great leader of social change who gave political strength to crores of Dalits, exploited and minority communities of the country. The Government of India should honor him with ‘Bharat Ratna Award’ as soon as possible. His contribution in empowering the people of the country socially and economically is incomparable.”
