Meerut: There was a stir in the CHC located in Sardhana assembly constituency of Meerut district, when a minor gave birth to a dead child on the bench due to the negligence of the system. It is alleged that a person living in the neighborhood raped the minor. Due to this she became pregnant. It is alleged that 40-year-old Subhash, who sexually abused the minor, made a video of her and threatened her to keep her mouth shut. The victim remained silent out of fear, but she did not understand that she had become pregnant.
The truth came out after getting an ultrasound done
The victim had a stomach ache for a month, she used to remain silent at home, she told her mother that there was a lot of pain in the stomach and it seemed that there were worms crawling. When the family showed her to the doctor, she was treated as swelling. When she did not get relief, the doctor got an ultrasound done and it was found that she was 6 months pregnant. One month passed in treatment and she completed seven months. Suddenly the victim’s pain increased, the family brought her to Sardhana CHC, kept pleading for admission but the system of the government CHC kept sleeping. Due to this, the victim gave birth to a dead child and the condition of the mother remains critical. She is undergoing treatment in Meerut District Hospital.
The uncle living in the neighborhood had raped her
The family was shocked to hear that a 13-year-old girl was raped by a neighbor. When the family strictly questioned the minor, she revealed the truth. She told the family that when the parents used to go to work, her uncle Subhash, who lived in the neighborhood, used to come to the house and misbehave. Pressure was put on her to keep her mouth shut and he threatened to make the video viral by showing it fraudulently. He would kill her brother. As soon as they got information about the incident with their daughter, they caught Subhash, then he threatened to defame the family by threatening them. Subhash is already married.
The accused was arrested by the police
The police took this matter seriously and registered a case under rape and POCSO Act and arrested the accused. The Chief Medical Officer of Meerut says that the victim had given birth to a dead child before reaching the CHC, investigation is being done. Meanwhile, Meerut District Magistrate Deepak Meena has constituted a three-member investigation committee headed by ADM Finance Suryakant Tripathi to investigate the incident. The committee will submit its investigation report within 48 hours.
