Lucknow: News related to women’s work has come to the fore in UP. Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will recruit 5,000 women conductors on contract basis. This decision has been taken while taking steps towards women empowerment and employment generation. According to the information received, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh announced the recruitment drive, emphasizing the goal of making women self-reliant and creating new employment opportunities.

Dayashankar Singh said, ‘The aim of this recruitment initiative is to empower women and promote employment growth, which is an important step towards making women self-reliant and providing new employment opportunities.’ Let us tell you that the candidates should have intermediate qualification and CCC certificate. They will also get 5 percent weightage for holding NCC ‘B’ certificate, NSS certificate or State/President’s Award Certificate from Bharat Scouts and Guides Institute.
To give priority to the facility, the government has made it mandatory that appointments will be made in depots located in the home districts of the candidates. Contract conductors will be paid as per the established remuneration rates of the Transport Corporation. The recruitment process will include employment fairs organized in various cities from April 8 to April 17.
Interested candidates can apply online through the Transport Corporation website. Certificate verification will be done both online and offline.
