US Plane Missing from Alaska: A Bering Air plane went missing near Nome, Alaska on Thursday (February 6) afternoon. It was an American plane, carrying a total of 10 people including the pilot. After the American plane went missing, the concerned organizations are continuously searching for it.
According to data from flight tracking website Flightradar, the American plane flying to Nome took off from the airport at 2:37 pm local time in Unalakleet city of Alaska and disappeared from the radar 39 minutes after takeoff.
The name of this American plane is Cessna 208B Grand Caravan Aircraft. There were a total of 10 passengers including the pilot on board this plane. Reuters quoted the Alaska Department of Public Safety as saying that the search operation for the missing American plane Cessna 208B is ongoing.
Volunteer department engaged in search of missing plane
The Volunteer Department of Nome said in this case that it is conducting a search operation on the ground with the help of local people of Nome and White Mountain. However, the Nome Volunteer Department has appealed to the local people not to form a private search party to search for the American plane keeping in mind the weather and security concerns.
Meanwhile, the aerial search for the American plane has been postponed due to bad weather and low visibility in the local area.
Coast Guard and Fire Department teams also engaged in the search
The Volunteer Department of Nome also said that the Coast Guard is also seriously investigating the area for any clue to search for the missing American plane. Apart from this, the Fire Department said that their ground staff team has completed its investigation to search for the plane in the area from Nome to Topkok.
