Jaipur: Congress MLA Zuber Khan from Ramgarh assembly seat of Alwar district of Rajasthan died on Saturday morning. Zuber Khan’s wife Safia Zuber gave information about this. She told that her husband was ill for some time. She told that Zuber Khan breathed his last at 5.50 am today. At the same time, Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, along with many other leaders, condoled the death of Congress MLA Zuber Khan.
CM Mohanlal Sharma expressed grief
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed grief over the death of Zuber Khan. He wrote in a post on the social media platform X, ‘The news of the death of Ramgarh MLA Shri Zuber Khan ji is very sad. In this hour of grief, my condolences are with his family. May God give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this thunderbolt. Om Shanti!’ At the same time, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also expressed grief by posting on ‘X’. He wrote, “Zuber Khan was fully committed to the development of his area and remained engaged in public service till the end. His departure is an irreparable loss.”
Zuber Khan was a four-time MLA
Let us tell you that Zuber Khan was a four-time MLA. He was first elected MLA in 1990. After this, he was a member of the tenth, twelfth and now the sixteenth assembly. He has also been a member of many committees including the estimates of the assembly. During his studies, Zuber was also the president of the Jamia Millia Islamia University (New Delhi) Students Union. With the death of Zuber Khan, the number of Congress MLAs in the state assembly has come down to 65. There are a total of 200 seats in the Rajasthan Assembly, out of which seven seats are now vacant. Five MLAs were elected MPs in the Lok Sabha elections and one BJP MLA died some time ago.
