Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray has made a big statement about Aurangzeb’s tomb, Kumbh and Ganga river in Shivaji Park. Raj Thackeray said, ‘When I made a statement on Kumbh, some new Hindutvaites said that I insulted Kumbh. The condition of rivers in our country is very worrying. We call rivers mother. First Rajiv Gandhi and now in 2014 Modi said that they will clean Ganga. But lakhs of people fell ill after bathing in Ganga. The question is not about the insult of Ganga and Kumbh, the question is about cleaning Ganga.’ Apart from this, Raj Thackeray also made a big statement about Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
Said this while showing the video of Ganga pollution
Raj Thackeray said that till now 33 thousand crore rupees have been spent on cleaning Ganga. Half burnt bodies are being thrown into Ganga. If religion is coming in the way of protecting our natural wealth, then what is the use of that religion? Why is a separate system not made there? Are we not ruining and polluting rivers in the name of religion? When I was watching all this, I did not understand.’
He said, ’65 crore people took bath, which means half of India took bath. The condition of Maharashtra’s rivers is also bad.’
Raj Thackeray said this about Aurangzeb’s grave
Raj Thackeray said, ‘We are now discussing whether Aurangzeb’s grave should remain or be dug up, leaving aside the real issues. Hindus who wake up after watching the film are of no use. When Vicky Kaushal died in the film, people understood Sambhaji Maharaj. Aurangzeb was born in Gujarat. Shivaji Maharaj is an idea.’
Raj Thackeray said, ‘The lawyers of both Afzal Khan and Shivaji Maharaj were Brahmins, but caste politics is being done on old history. I say once again, Aurangzeb’s rule extended from Afghanistan to the south. Aurangzeb’s son was supported by Sambhaji Maharaj. Why did such a great king stay in Maharashtra till his death? Because he had to kill the idea of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.’
Raj Thackeray said, ‘Now the grave should be kept undecorated and a board should be put there that the person who came to kill us, we buried him here. Our history should be known that we killed and buried our enemies in this soil. Children should be taught, the next generation should be told that look, our ancestors killed such cruel rulers here.’
