MP: An illegally operated madrassa and hostel exposed in Shivpuri, Child Commission and Education Department team conducted raids on two institutions in Shivpuri on the basis of pin point information.

An illegally run madrassa and hostel has been exposed in Shivpuri. On Saturday, the team of Madhya Pradesh Child Commission and Education Department had conducted raids on two institutions in Shivpuri on the basis of pin point information. During this period, after inspection of both the places, it was revealed that the Madrasa Faiz-e-Siddiqui Noor ul Quran operating in Badarwas was being operated completely illegally. At the same time, the hostel operated in SNV Public School Maniyar in Shivpuri was also being operated without recognition.

Child Commission suspects human trafficking
But before the members of the Child Commission and the entire team could arrive, the children were disappeared from the hostel including the madrassa. During the inspection, the member of the Children’s Commission asked the operators of the madrassa and hostel to bring the children forward, but even after hours of effort the children were not brought forward. A member of the Children’s Commission has expressed suspicion of human trafficking against madrassa director Qazi Mohammad Sharafat and hostel director Madan Lal Rathore. Because records related to the operator including the children could not be made available at both the places. He has recommended registering an FIR against the directors of both the institutions. The District Education Officer has said that appropriate legal action will be taken on the basis of the report.

All the children’s belongings were hidden in the hostel.
It is worth noting that when the members of the Children’s Commission along with the team reached the hostel run in SNV Public School for inspection, the information about their arrival reached the hostel operator before them. Therefore, hostel operator Madan Lal Rathore immediately picked up the children from the food plate and hid them somewhere. The beds of children staying in the hostel were broken and thrown away. His shoes and slippers were stuffed in bags and hidden. Hidden their boxes in other rooms inside his house. After about half an hour after the team reached, the gate opened and the hostel manager Akhilesh Rawat told the team that he had closed the hostel two years ago due to Covid-19.

This is how the lies of the operators were caught
When the commission team arrived for inspection, no one was found in the hostel and the team returned empty handed. But during this time, Commission member Dr. Nivedita’s eyes fell on the food plate in which fresh food was kept. When I looked in other rooms, I found the same situation there too. After this the whole matter was exposed. But hostel operator Madanlal Rathore first boasted to the team that he was an ex-army man. But when that didn’t work, he first accepted that he runs a hostel and a school. Hostel manager Akhilesh also accepted the fact that there is a record of the hostel and said that there is a record in the office.

The operators kept telling lies to the investigation team.
When the team reached to check the records of the school and hostel, neither the records of the hostel nor the school were found in the office. While on the surface Madanlal accepted that he owned the hostel, on the bottom he started saying that he had given the building on rent to Akhilesh for running the hostel and he had nothing to do with the hostel. Whereas Akhilesh said that the hostel operator is Madanlal, he is just an employee. Neither of them could provide any record of the hostel nor could they tell how many children live in the hostel and who are those children and who are their parents. Not only this, the school operator could not even provide documents related to the recognition of the school, while children up to class 10 are being taught there illegally. Even the time-tables of some children were found lying in the hostel.

No school records of madrasa children
According to the commission member, according to the records of the Madrasa running in Badarwas, 17 children live there, but there is no school record of the children. According to Dr. Nivedita Sharma, the director of the madrasa, Qazi Mohammad Sharafat, said that the children had gone to their homes due to Ramzan. He disclosed the balance sheet of the Madrasa but did not tell from where he gets the grant for running the Madrasa. What is the source of income of Madrasa? In such a situation, the commission member has also considered the activities of the Madrasa as prima facie suspicious.

Action started by sealing the hostel
On this whole issue, Dr. Nivedita Sharma, member of Madhya Pradesh Child Rights Protection, says that we had received information about illegal hostel operation in the school. When they arrived to take action, they found children missing from the hostel. Instructions have been given to the Education Department to take action regarding the matter. It has also been said that the hostel will be sealed. District Education Officer Samar Singh Rathore said that we inspected the school along with Dr. Nivedita Sharma, a member of Child Rights Protection. The matter is being investigated and action will be taken only after investigation.
