The heinous act of an Assistant Sub-Inspector posted at Jawad police station in Neemuch has brought shame to the entire police department. Around 8 p.m. on Friday night, a drunk ASI, Manoj Yadav, ran over several bike riders with his out-of-control car. In this horrific accident, Dashrath, a teacher at Gyanodya ITI College, tragically died on the spot, while four people, including two innocent children, were seriously injured.
The smell of alcohol emanated from the car.
The accident occurred near the valley of Bharbhadia village in Neemuch. Eyewitnesses described the scene as horrifying. ASI Manoj Yadav’s damaged car was lying on the roadside. Locals reported that the ASI was severely intoxicated and was unable to stand properly. A search of the car revealed a liquor bottle and an empty glass, clearly proving that the ASI had been drinking inside while on duty.
Police Department in a state of panic
The bike riders who were victims of the ASI’s speeding and negligence were immediately rushed to the hospital. The injured include two young children, who remain in critical condition. Following the incident, local residents created a huge uproar. They were furious that the khaki uniform they should have relied on for protection had taken away their happiness. Seeing the gravity of the situation, senior police officers arrived at the scene and managed to calm the situation.
