The negligence of Rani Durgavati University has come to light in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The university released the exam time table but forgot to conduct the exam. An investigation has been ordered into the matter.
Rani Durgavati University has declared the time table for conducting the MSc Computer Science First Semester examination about 20 days ago. Students said, ‘Admit cards were issued to the students for the examination to be held from Tuesday (March 5). When the students reached the university on Tuesday morning, they were told that there were no exams and the university had not even prepared the question papers.
“We studied all night to appear for the exam but when we reached the university, we were told that the administration had forgotten it,” said a student on condition of anonymity. Regarding this negligence of the University, NSUI workers came to meet the Vice Chancellor with black blindfolds on their eyes, where it was learned that the Vice Chancellor was holding a meeting with all the department heads and Registrars in the assembly building. Raising slogans of NSUI Zindabad, the workers reached the meeting and staged a dharna sitting on the ground in front of the Vice Chancellor. The meeting was canceled due to the uproar by NSUI. After which all the department heads went to their respective offices.
NSUI organization leader Sachin Rajak said, ‘This is a serious case of negligence of the university administration. How can they forget the datesheet and other important arrangements required to conduct the examination. The students worked hard to appear in the examination, but were fooled. This is not a case of a small school or college but of a reputed university.
University Vice Chancellor RK Verma held a meeting with the heads of departments and met the students. He said, ‘Investigation into the matter has been initiated because the controller of examinations said that the examination has been postponed, but how did they forget to inform the college and students about it. After the investigation report, action will be taken against the responsible officials.
