According to the information, Hanuman Jayanti procession started from Shah’s Kolhu Pura on Saturday. This procession was moving towards Rapta and Haat Road. People were walking singing and playing in large numbers in the procession. At around eight in the evening, this procession reached in front of the mosque located in Colonelganj. At this place, the councilor had an argument with someone about moving the procession forward.
Police came into action after stone pelting
At the same time, someone threw a stone at the procession. After this the atmosphere deteriorated. Then stones started being pelted from both sides. There was a stampede in the area due to stone pelting. Some policemen appealed to the people not to pelt stones.
