The deceased has been identified as Prakash Shinde. It is being told that Shinde was staying at his sister’s house in Wadala for the last few days. Meanwhile, he fell victim to diarrhea. Mumbai Police officials said that at the time of the incident on Sunday, Shinde wanted to go to the toilet, but a family member had already gone to the washroom in the flat. Due to this, Shinde was forced to go to that part of the building where the work of the lift was going on.
According to the police, he defecated near the lift pit and when he was trying to get up, he lost his balance and fell straight into the lift shaft from the 18th floor. As soon as the incident was reported, the Mumbai Police and Fire Brigade team reached the spot and took him out. He was immediately taken to KEM Hospital in Parel, where doctors declared him dead.
Family denies the possibility of conspiracy
A case has been registered in this regard at RAK Marg Police Station. An official said that the family has denied the possibility of any kind of conspiracy. Due to this, a report of accidental death has been registered in the case.

At present, the police is trying to find out how the victim reached the under-construction area and due to whose negligence this fatal accident happened.
