Speaking to India TV, the victim’s father Haleem Jameel Khan said that his son was playing that day, he got information that someone had got his son bitten by a dog. Initially he thought who would do this? But when he saw the video, he understood the whole matter.
Demand for strict punishment for the accused
The victim’s father said that he reached the police station and got a case registered but the accused was released after giving a notice. The police said that the court will later punish him in this case. The child is scared after the dog attack. The victim’s father has demanded that the accused be given the harshest punishment.
The child was playing inside the auto rickshaw
According to the complaint filed by the injured boy’s father, the accused Sohail Hassan Khan (43) let loose his pitbull dog on the child. The child was playing inside an auto rickshaw parked in a residential area. In the viral video, the accused can be seen laughing while others around are enjoying the incident while the dog is attacking the boy.
The dog bit the child on the chin
The police said that the dog bit the boy on the chin and injured him. A case was registered. Based on the complaint of the father in this case, the police have registered a case against the accused Sohail Hassan Khan under sections 125, 125 (a) and 291 of the BNS. The accused was arrested on Friday. He was later released after issuing a notice.
