Baba Siddique Shot Dead in Mumbai: Baba Siddique, a veteran leader of Maharashtra and associated with NCP Ajit Pawar faction, was shot dead in public on Saturday (12 October) night. Mumbai Police is continuously engaged in this case and big revelations are being made continuously. Investigation has found that Baba Siddique’s shooters were paid in advance for this work. However, the amount of this payment has not been known yet.
At the same time, sources have also revealed that the shooters were doing recce of Baba Siddique’s house and his office for several days. A few days ago, an arms dealer had delivered a gun to the attackers with the help of a courier agent (a delivery man). The money for this gun had already been paid.
Shooters stayed in Kurla area of Mumbai
According to what the police has found out in the investigation so far, the accused who attacked Baba Siddique had come to Mumbai one and a half months ago and stayed in the Kurla area of the city. The shooters had tried to shootout several times before this, but were unsuccessful. On the occasion of Dussehra, they opened fire as soon as they got the opportunity.
Delhi Police is also in touch with Mumbai Police
It is worth noting that since the news of the arrested shooters being associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang came to light, the Counter Intelligence Unit of the Special Cell of Delhi Police is also in touch with Mumbai Police.
Police had recovered 6 bullets from the crime scene
Mumbai Police had recovered 6 bullet shells from the crime scene in the Baba Siddiqui shootout case. Three bullets hit Baba Siddiqui while one bullet hit the leg of a person standing nearby, due to which he was seriously injured. He was treated at Lilavati Hospital on Saturday night itself.
