Pledge to resolve water supply issues

Four years ago, BJP leader Ram Kadam had promised the public that he would not cut his hair until he resolved the water supply problems in Ghatkopar. Ram Kadam claimed that on Thursday, he had successfully resolved the water problem in Ghatkopar. Water is now being supplied everywhere in Ghatkopar.

During the haircut, Ram Kadam addressed his supporters with a microphone. He expressed his happiness over the improved water supply in Ghatkopar. He said he was happy that water tanks with a capacity of more than two crore liters would be constructed there. The BJP leader also said that a water pipeline had been connected from Bhandup.

Water scarcity five years ago

The BJP MLA said that five years ago, he had witnessed the water supply situation in the hilly areas. Today, he is happy that water tanks with a capacity of approximately two crore and seven lakh liters are going to be constructed there. He further added that the pipeline coming from Bhandup to Ghatkopar is approximately three feet wide and four kilometers long, and its construction is almost complete.

It is worth noting that Ram Kadam won the Ghatkopar assembly constituency in the 2024 assembly elections with 73,171 votes, defeating his closest rival, Sanjay Dattatraya Bhalerao of Shiv Sena (UBT). Ram Kadam was first elected as an MLA in 2009 on a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) ticket. He has been elected as an MLA from this constituency three times.
