A major accident took place in Chembur area of Mumbai on Sunday morning. At around 5 am, a fire broke out in the ground plus one (G+1) structure of the shop. The fire started in the meter box of the shop which gradually spread to the whole house. 7 people died in this fire. The fire has been brought under control.
The family lived on the upper floor of the shop
Eyewitnesses told that the shop was on the ground floor. The family lived on the upper floor. Seven people of the same family died in the fire. The names of those who died in this incident have also come to light.

Shop and household goods burnt to ashes
As soon as the information about the fire in the shop and house was received, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot. After several hours of hard work, the fire was brought under control. 7 people sleeping inside the house died in the fire. All the goods in the shop and the house were also burnt to ashes.
Screams were coming from inside the house
Local people said that the incident of fire in the shop was very frightening. Flames were rising from the shop and the house. People were screaming from inside the house. Local people tried to extinguish the fire but they could not succeed. After this, the fire brigade and police team were informed.

A massive fire broke out in the building
A two-storey building caught fire in Chembur, Mumbai on Sunday morning. The building in which the fire broke out had a shop on the ground floor, while the family lived on the upper floor. According to the fire officer, he came to know about the fire at 5:20 am. Fire engines were sent to the spot to douse the fire. He said that the fire started in the shop located on the ground floor of the building and spread to the upper floor. The family sleeping upstairs got engulfed in the flames.
Seven members of the same family died
The fire was barely controlled. The family trapped in the house came out. They were badly burnt in the flames. They were immediately taken to Rajawadi Hospital for treatment. Doctors declared seven members of the family dead. The deceased include Geeta Devi Gupta (60 years), Anita Gupta (39 years), Prem Gupta (30 years), Manju Prem Gupta (30 years), Vidhi Gupta (15 years, Narendra Gupta (10 years) and Presi Gupta (6 years). Police is investigating the cause of the fire.
