The Yagi storm has caused devastation in Myanmar, in which at least 74 people have been reported dead. Earlier this number was 33 but now the death toll has increased. According to reports, earlier the Yagi storm had caused devastation in Vietnam, northern Thailand and Laos, in which more than 260 people died and there was a lot of destruction. These latest figures of people killed and missing in this storm have come after the announcement of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing of the ruling military council, in which he said that Myanmar is seeking help from foreign countries.
Earlier floods caused devastation
Earlier on Wednesday, floods caused massive devastation in Mandalay and Bago and the lower areas of the capital Naypyidaw in Myanmar, after which Min Aung Hlaing and military officials visited the affected areas on Friday and took stock of the relief operations in Naypyidaw. The general stressed the need for necessary action to manage rescue and relief operations and sought foreign aid for the victims.

The heavy rains caused heavy damage to 24 bridges, 375 school buildings, a Buddhist monastery, five dams, four pagodas, 14 transformers, 456 lampposts and more than 65,000 houses, among other important things. It has been described as the worst rain in the last 60 years, which also damaged many ancient temples in Bagan.
