NASA Parker Solar Probe: The American space agency NASA’s spacecraft Parker Solar Probe created history by breaking the record of going closest to the Sun

NASA Parker Solar Probe: The American space agency NASA’s spacecraft Parker Solar Probe has achieved another important achievement. This spacecraft has broken the record of going closest to the sun. Parker Solar Probe traveled only 61 lakh km from the surface of the sun and during this time its speed was 6.90 lakh kilometers per hour. This is such a fast speed that one can reach New York from Delhi in just one minute. This is the first time that a man-made object has set this record by going so close to the sun.

According to the information shared by DD News, there is also a concern in the minds of scientists during this historic mission. They are worried whether the Parker Solar Probe is safe or not. If this spacecraft remains safe, signals will be received from the other side of the sun. If no signal is received, it will mean that the spacecraft has been destroyed. In this regard, NASA officials say that signals are expected to be received by December 27, after which the status of this spacecraft will be known.

Parker Solar Probe took new pictures from near the sun

Parker Solar Probe has taken several pictures from near the sun which will be given to NASA in January. The data taken during this time will be acquired in the next few months when this spacecraft moves further away from the sun. According to the information, Parker completed the 17th revolution around the sun in 2023, in which he made two records. The first record was of passing very close to the sun and the second was of the speed created by it. Under this mission, Parker traveled only 72.60 lakh km from the sun and during this time its speed was 6.35 lakh kilometers per hour. Both these records were made on 27 September 2023.

Protection from sun’s dangers with heatshield

Parker Solar Probe was launched in 2018 and has special heatshield and autonomous systems, which protect it from sun storms. This spacecraft has already studied solar storms while being 5.7 crore kilometers away from the Sun. The study of these solar storms will help scientists understand the effect of solar dust flying between planets in space and this information will be helpful in understanding its effect on the gravity, atmosphere and magnetic field of the planets.

NASA’s Parker Solar Probe mission takes space exploration in a new direction. The data obtained from this mission conducted near the Sun will not only help in understanding our solar system better but it will also prove to be an important step for the study of other planets and space events.
