Politics On Bantenge To Katenge Slogan: There seems to be a rift in the NDA itself over the BJP’s slogan ‘Bantenge To Katenge’. Its allies are opposing it and saying that there is no need for such slogans. In Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar’s NCP was the first to protest and after this JDU and Jayant Chaudhary’s party are also in the queue.
On ‘Bantenge To Katenge’, Ajit Pawar said in Mumbai on November 7, “This is the Maharashtra of Chhatrapati Shivaji, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj and Mahatma Phule. People here do not like such comments. People here have always tried to maintain communal harmony. You cannot compare Maharashtra with other states.”
On this, Sanjay Nirupam, leader of Eknath Shinde’s army, another ally of the Mahayuti, said that Ajit Dada is not understanding today but will understand in the future that the line ‘Bantenge To Katenge’ will definitely work. He will have to understand that CM Yogi is not saying anything wrong.
JDU also opposed
JDU MLC Ghulam Gaus said in Patna on November 8, “The country does not need slogans like ‘If divided, they will be cut off’. This slogan is needed by those who want votes in the name of community. When the President, Prime Minister and Home Minister of the country are Hindus, then how did Hindus become unsafe in the country.” At the same time, Chirag Paswan has supported BJP on this matter, his party said that this slogan is right.
What did Jayant Chaudhary say?
Recently, while campaigning for the by-election, Jayant Chaudhary spoke to journalists. On this, a reporter asked the question that CM Yogi Adityanath is talking about ‘If divided, they will be cut off’, on this RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary said, “This is his point.” Saying this, he left. This shows that RLD is also not with this slogan.
