The floods caused by continuous torrential rains in Nepal have wreaked havoc. At least 39 people have died due to this. After this, the Ministry of Education has decided to close all educational institutions for three days. Thousands of people in Nepal have been displaced to safer places. At many places, roads, neighborhoods, shops and establishments are flooded. Traffic has also been disrupted due to flooding of roads. Hundreds of houses have been damaged. Cars and houses have drowned in water.
226 houses submerged in Kathmandu
Police said that 226 houses have been submerged in Kathmandu. A rescue team of about 3,000 security personnel has been deployed by the Nepal Police in the affected areas. People are being sent to a safe place amid rain.
Flights canceled amid heavy rain
Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority on Friday canceled all domestic flights till Saturday morning due to bad weather conditions in the country. This happened when Nepal’s Meteorological Forecasting Division had predicted rain for four consecutive days.
